Day of the Christian Martyr
June 29 is traditionally regarded as the date on which the Apostle Paul was beheaded on the Appian Way in Rome. Join Christians around the world who will take time on June 29 to honour the legacy of those who, like Paul, gave their lives to advance the gospel. Ethnos remembers the five men killed in Bolivia as they tried to take the gospel to the Ayoré people group. That was in 1943, one year after New Tribes Mission was started. Since then, there have been a number of missionaries who gave their lives as they took the gospel to the unreached. We praise God for the example that was set for us by these men and women. You can read about those five men in the free eBook Founded.
