Paul and Tina McDole minister among the Buru people of Asia Pacific. “As we look around, there are many things that need attention and your prayers.
“Pray for the men in the church that they would be grounded in God’s Word and show God’s love and faithfulness in their lives. We are looking for ways to help them consistently. Pray especially for our church leaders that they would lead with humility and self-sacrifice. Kace is one who has been faithfully serving and proclaiming the gospel.
“Pray for the dorm. We had a disturbing situation come up last week, and the church leaders ended up telling an eleventh-grade guy to move out. Yet, God is working among the students. Alfian, one of the seniors, told me he wants to attend Bible college when he finishes high school next year. Teman, another student in eighth grade, does not have Christian parents but is listening carefully as he hears the truth of the gospel. There are ten students in the dorm with another 10 to 20 who show up each Sunday for worship together.
“On the island east of Buru, we have missionaries who have been waiting for months to get the last approval needed to begin working among a group of people living high in the mountains. The signature needed is from a local government official living on the coast. It is a grueling nine-hour climb up those mountains, so few from outside have been up there. We are planning on going to town to meet with the team soon, to encourage them and look to the Lord for His timing and direction.”
