“The lessons on August 30 and September 1 and September 3 are going to be on the crucifixion of Jesus. September 6 will be on His resurrection!”

Pray for Brent and Jodi as they pursue Ethnos' vision to see thriving indigenous churches throughout the First Nations communities in the Yukon. Currently, the Ristaus are in the early stages of seeking to build relationships with community members — this will require much prayer and wisdom going forward.

Pray for good translation helpers among the Moi.

Pray for continued health and strength and that more of the Prai people would come to know and follow Jesus.

So much care must be taken to make sure that the meaning is not changed and is clearly communicated… Please be in prayer for these teams.

Please pray that local authorities will grant permission. Please pray that everyone will have wisdom in practicing necessary safety protocols, including quarantining when they arrive in the village.

Please pray for God to continue to build His Church among the Nahuatl and for His protection on them during this time.

Jesus promised, "I will build my church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.” Two thousand years later, he still invites his followers to build with him!

Pray for Stephen and Carolyn as they continue to work at translating scripture into the Moi language. Also, for one of their Moi friends who has walked away from the Lord, that he would repent and come back.

“We just now received word that they are extending our quarantine. We were completely expecting that… The challenge for us is just to keep our noses to the grindstone. Instead of focusing on what we can’t do, we need to stick with what we can do and just keep on doing it!”

Please pray that we will be able to continue making progress on the translation. We are currently focusing on 1 and 2 Corinthians.

Pray for the ministries that are reaching the unreached.

“We've talked about Kaje and how the gospel was heard for the first time there in December 2019. Many people believed. But now so many are asking questions and trying to figure out what this new life looks like.”

It’s been said that people don’t learn from experiences alone; they learn from reflecting on those experiences. Missionaries have a lot of new experiences and unexpected challenges that require time and space, along with a caring and listening ear, to adequately process and even grow from them.
